WOD 1
10 minutes total for THREE separate scored events.
Teams will:
1) Run a 4 x 400m sprint relay for time (each team member must
run one lap around track).
2) Row for Max calories
3) Complete AMRAP of ground-to-overhead (155#/105#)
Description:
All events start at the same time. Teams will choose the order/
sequence of their runners. While one athlete runs, the other
three are rowing and lifting. Only one person will lift at a time.
There will be one rower and two barbells, one with the male’s
weight (155#) and one with the female’s weight (105#). Men
cannot lift women’s barbell and vice versa.
WOD 2
AMRAP 8 Minutes:
1) One athlete swims.
2) One athlete performs jumping air squats at
one end of the pool.
3) One athlete performs hand-release push-ups
at the opposite end of the pool.
4) Athletes can rotate as they desire. Only
three athletes can work at any one time: one
swimming, one doing push-ups, and one doing
jumping air squats.
Scoring will be:
Jumping Air Squat = 1 point
Hand-Release Push-Up = 2 points
25-yard swim (one length of the pool)
= 25 points
Total score is the sum of points.WOD 3
Consists of TWO scored events.
Teams will:
1) Run a 4x400m sprint relay for time, carrying a 50# sandbag
(each team member must run one lap around the track carrying
a 50# sandbag that will be handed off to the next team member).
2) Complete a Chipper for time (24 minute cap).
Each team will complete a TOTAL of:
60 x Thrusters (95#/65#)
60 x Sumo-Deadlift High Pull (95#/65#)
60 x Kettlebell Snatches (1.5 pood / 1 pood)
60 x Box“Jump-overs”(24”)
200 x Double-Unders
60 x Overhead Squats (95#/65#)
60 x Power Cleans (165#/115#)
60 x Deadlifts (255#/185#)
60 x Burpees (Facing and jumping on a 45# plate)
Description:
Both events start at the same time. Teams will choose the order/sequence of their runners.
Sandbag will start on the ground but can be handed off between runners.
While one athlete runs 400m around the track carrying a 50# sandbag, the other three work on the chipper.
ONE ATHLETE WORKS/LIFTS AT A TIME IN THE CHIPPER.
A team must complete all the reps for each movement before moving on to the next movement.
Once all four athletes complete the 4x400m sandbag sprint, they can all assist in completing the Chipper.
Teams will have one 45# bar with 95# and one 35# with 65# to start the WOD.
Teams will load barbells with appropriate prepositioned weights as they progress.
Teams who do not finish the chipper in the allocated time will be ranked accordingly to how much they complete.

Only the top five teams will compete in this
final WOD.

The APSU Governors Games Powered by CrossFit Clarksville will benefit the APSU Military Alumni Chapter
Scholarship Endowment. In honor of our military students and their families, proceeds from this event will
fund scholarships to assist those men and women keeping our country safe.
Austin Peay State University continues to be recognized for its dedication to veterans and active duty
military students. The state’s largest provider of higher education to Soldiers, veterans and their families,
Austin Peay was named in 2013, 2014 and 2015 as a“Military Friendly School,”by G.I. Jobs Magazine and is
recognized as one the nation’s“Best For Vets”colleges by the Military Times.
In August 2014, the federal government applauded APSU for being the only school in Tennessee to
implement the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’“8 Keys to Success.”
That initiative seeks to help veterans succeed on campus.
Recently, Austin Peay became one of only four universities in Tennessee to be named a Veterans Education
Transition Support (VETS) Campus by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. The certification is
awarded to higher education institutions that not only prioritize outreach to veterans, but also successfully
deliver the services necessary to create a supportive environment where student veterans can prosper while
pursuing their education.
Austin Peay is known for its unwavering support to serve active duty soldiers and veterans and their families
by providing outstanding activities and programs.
Austin Peay joined forces with CrossFit Clarksville, who is well known for the camaraderie of its community
and support of our military, to host a fitness competition that allows CrossFit athletes to compete in honor
of our military heroes. No matter your background, current fitness level, or athletic ability, when you walk
through the doors of CrossFit Clarksville, you are family.
The APSU Governors Games Powered by CrossFit Clarksville continues our commitment to honor our
military. The Governors Games is more than a team competition, the event is an opportunity for all involved
to come together as a community and give back to those who have given so much for us.
