Public Transport Forum: Fanshawe College Welcomes SWOTA

Fanshawe College
WHAT: SWOTA has organized a public meeting at Fanshawe College to discuss a proposed
$400-million bus-and-rail network linking Southwestern Ontario. Presentation followed by Q&A
period.

Background Information:
SWOTA is looking to gain more support from the London community to back a well documented
$400-million proposal to improve public transport in SW Ontario. For the first time the advocacy
group will be presenting at Fanshawe College with political, industry and public attendance. If
implemented the proposal will reap over $1 billion in economic benefits at the cost of 1km of
Toronto subway tunnel. The solutions addressed at the forum will affect thousands of local
residents who rely on public transportation. The forum will be open to media and the public for
