December 4, 2014 IJS GLOBAL OPENS SPECIALIST PHARMA www.ijsglobal.com WAREHOUSE AT FRANKFURT FRANKFURT: IJS Global has further extended its specialist healthcare services operation with the opening of a state-of-the-art pharma warehouse facility at Frankfurt airport in Germany. The company’s new building comprises both passive and active chambers alongside an X-ray machine within the temperature controlled area to cater for all customer requirements and will operate around the clock. The whole warehouse is highly secure and monitored at all times. In each of the two temperature zones ULDs such as Envirotainers and Csafe containers can be built to specific temperature as demanded by the customer. The epoxy floor coverings offer a clean and dust-free environment where all pharmaceutical types can be safely handled and protected from environmental influences. Zone one will cater for the passive 15- 25°C business and within zone two there is a specialist partitioned section designed for active shipments required to be kept at between 2 and 8°C. Additionally, a third freezer zone is able to keep shipments deep frozen at -20°C. An x-ray machine within the temperature controlled area enables IJS Global to scan cargo for any “unknown consignors”, and turn it into “secured airfreight”. This extra feature assures shippers that the integrity of their temperature sensitive goods is never compromised. “A significant amount of the business within our Frankfurt operation is now specialist pharma and time-critical traffic. With this dedicated pharma warehouse now in place we feel confident we can offer our customers the high service level their product and patients deserve,” says Branch Manager, Christoph Schneider. The new warehouse has been designed to meet the most stringent customer standards and is fully temperature mapped, secure and controlled to meet GDP guidelines as well as TAPA certification. “We have a highly trained and dedicated team operating at Frankfurt and now we have invested in a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to driving forward this key vertical market for IJS Global”, adds Schneider.
