1. NFPA has recognized your achievement of CORE Registered Paralegal status in the National Paralegal Reporter. In addition,
NFPA will post on its web site only the name of each CORE Registered Paralegal, his or her city and state, and the date the
individual became a CORE Registered Paralegal. However, from time to time, local associations request contact information such
as a complete address and phone number. These requests are related to the issuance of congratulatory letters or to help promote
the PCC Exam. If such request is made, NFPA’s Management Company may release this information for these purposes. If you do
not wish to have any contact information released, please notify us by letter at NFPA, One Parkview Plaza, Suite 800, Oakbrook
Terrace, IL 60181.
Be proud of your accomplishment, and use “CORE Registered Paralegal” as your title.
Sincerely,
Christine Camper, CRP

Congratulations! You have passed the Paralegal CORE Competency Exam (PCCE).
NFPA shares your pride in this accomplishment. Successfully passing the PCC Exam demonstrates your commitment to your
chosen profession and starts you on the path of professional excellence.
The PCC Exam represents a bold opportunity for all paralegals to advance the profession and establish recognizable credentials
for paralegals. The PCC Exam is designed to test the knowledge, skills, and ability of entry-level and early career paralegals. It
provides the legal community and the public with a mechanism to appraise the competency of paralegals new to the profession and
verify that the paralegals possess the skills necessary for success in their chosen profession. The PCC Exam is a voluntary process
and not a license endorsed by any jurisdiction.
Now that you have successfully passed the PCC Exam, you are eligible to use the designation “CORE Registered Paralegal” or
“CRP”. This designation should be used along with your title of paralegal, legal assistant, or other position as required by your
jurisdiction. Improper use may cause you to lose the designation.
In order for the CORE Registered Paralegal designation to maintain its value with the rapid changes in legal practice, it will be
necessary for you to continue your education. Detailed procedures outlining the credential renewal process and requirements are
posted on the NFPA website under the “Paralegal Certification” tab.
