Does this qualify me as a CPA as well?No. The CPA is a unique credential with its own requirements and standards. Who sets the standards for CPA certification?The standards are set by The AICPA Board of Regents, who are elected by CPA members anddrawn from our most experienced members.Is the CPA from The AICPA acknowledged globally?Yes. The CPA credential is acknowledged globally and preferred by employers. Becoming aCPA immediately sets you apart from the competition and launches you to the top of yourprofession.If I complete the Program of The AICPA, can I become a member of any other CPA Institute?Yes, you can apply for Direct Membership or Exam Waiver or Exemptions to other professionalbodies, including other CPA institutes. However, The AICPA is not country/continent specificand it has its own code of ethics, structure and functions. Similarly the other CPA’s professionalbodies have its own bye-laws, code of ethics, structure and functions. Every professional bodyhas its own Exemption and/or minimum Credit Hours policy to award the CPA designation. Itdepends upon the respective body’s program structure and Academic Committees’ policies thathow they rate one’s prior learning while granting the other body’s credentials. The same case iswith The AICPA, i.e., we allow direct membership, exam waiver or exemptions to those CPA orCA bodies which fulfill The AICPA minimum credit hours and quality standards requirement.Can Chartered Accountants use the CPA designation after qualifying in The AICPAexaminations?Yes, in fact, there are a number of Chartered Accountants who are currently pursuing the CPAProgram in the world. There are many Chartered Accountants to qualify as CPAs. There areabsolutely no restrictions on Chartered Accountants to pursue the CPA Program, to become amember on the Council of CPAs (after completing the necessary requirements of the CPAProgram) and to use the CPA designation. 3|Page
  4. 4. About RegistrationsIs there any qualifying test to register for CPA program?NO. The CPA from The AICPA does not require any qualifying test to register. However, thenew entrants’ previous credentials are evaluated to decide their entry level into the CPAprogram.What is the fee for registration / evaluation and how to get registered?Fee for registering with The AICPA is 100 US $. Use AE-III from for registration with theAICPA. Email the AE_III form and attached the required documents along with deposit slip andinvoice issued by the AICPA at info@theaicpa.org or registration@theaicpa.org .What is minimum requirement to enroll in CPA program?CPA is well renowned name for the professional accountant.CPA means an expert inaccounts/finance/audit/taxation/law and other business fields. They play a vital role in anyorganization’s strategic success factors. CPA is designed for the final touch professionals afterPAC/PPA/experience. The entry requirement for CPA is either of 3 routes.1. Minimum 14 Yrs. Formal education Plus Minimum 5 Yrs. related Professional experience2. Passed the PPA (Professional Public Accountant) exam, or have 14 years related formal education3. Passed the PAC (Public Accounting Certification) exam, or have 12 years related formal educationHow many stages and subjects are in CPA? What is fee /subject in CPA? How many Installments are possible for fee?Yes, The AICPA offers an installment facility to the students enrolling into the CPA Program.The fee can be paid in convenient three installments, by way of postdated checks by using thepostdated credit card slips, given in the Fee Remittance Form.Is there any Scholarship / Financial Assistance facility available?Yes, The AICPA is promoting “Education For All” objective irrespective of race, culture, nationor country. Reduced fees for related scholars, educators, and professionals in applied researchRegistration DE NOVO?A student whose registration has been cancelled on account of his/her failure to complete theExaminations within a period of 5 years from the date of his/her registration, may if he/she sodesires, apply for DE NOVO registration in the Prescribed Form and on his/her application beinggranted he/she be deemed for all purposes to have been admitted as a DE NOVO registeredstudent except that he/she shall be entitled to exemption from the individual subjects of theExamination, both for Coaching and Examination as the case may be, previously secured by himunder his former registration. The benefit of DE NOVO Registration may be availed of onlyonce. Granting of DE NOVO Registration shall be at the discretion of the RegistrationCommittee in case of those who have already availed the benefit of DE NOVO Registrationonce.Registration Afresh?A student whose registration has been cancelled on account of his/her failure to appear at leastin once stage/module Examination within 2 years from the date of his registration, may, if he/she 5|Page

What is meant of offline and online examination system?Offline exams are conducted twice a year in January and July a different locations of the globe.Online exams are conducted to facilitate students to appear in exams during the year. A studentcan appear in online exams when he feels that he is ready to sit for the exams. The comprehensive software packages will be launched for the students in January2013.Are there any study notes or tutorial classes available?Study notes are available on demand. Tutorial classes are launched in selected areas. However,Exam Preparation, Fast Track classes can be arranged if a group of minimum 5 to 10 studentsagreed to avail this facility in any area globally.Are there any subject-wise exemptions in the Program?Yes, there are subject-wise exemptions for CAs, CMAs, ACCAs, CSs, CFAs MBAs and M.Comon the basis of professional education and experience. About Certificate of PracticeWhat is a Certificate of Practice and how can I apply?The purpose of this certificate is that our qualified CPA members can satisfy that they are readyto go for practice. The detail of Areas of Practice is discussed in About the CPA Credentials. TheAICPA prompt you to consider carefully whether you are fully prepared for practice or not. Ifyou decide that you are ready after filling the “Going into Practice, Am I ready?” form, the nextstep is to apply for a practicing certificate (this form is not part of your formal application for apracticing certificate but you should retain it for future reference).The matters in the form are equally relevant if you are setting up on your own or joining anestablished practice. However, in the latter case some of the matters referred to may not be yourresponsibility. If that is the case then mark the particular matter as not applicable.Read the Certificate of Practice tab carefully from http://www.theaicpa.org before applying forthe COP.Do you provide Certificate of Practice and what are the criteria for issuance of same?Yes, The AICPA provides Certificate of Practice upon meeting the following criteria by theapplicant:  Hold CPA membership in good standing from at least last 3 years.  Have completed CPD hours in last 3 years and verified by the mentor.  Never be barred from holding COP by any other professional body.  Have shown interest and proved required KSAs mentioned in “Going into Practice, Am I Ready?” questionnaire.  Hold adequate professional indemnity insurance.Do you provide hours’ completion certificate for your CPD Seminars or do you accept otherprofessional bodies’ CPD credentials?Yes, to assist our valued members we provide certain national / international facilities tocomplete their CPD hours. This is arranged through our Official Learning Providers andRegional Partners. We also accept selected professional bodies’ CPD credentials to secure the 9|Page

It is advised to membersto regularly complete their CPD data sheet and get it verified from designated mentor to avoidfailure in getting Certificate of Practice in later stage.In which areas / industries I am allowed to do practice after qualifying CPA?This is and added privilege to our qualified CPA members that they are allowed to work andprepare accounts in all business areas irrespective of industry or geographical location. OurCPAs are working as financial advisor, analyst, tax planner, personal and financial planner, andauditing services under other Statutory and Registered Auditors’ shield. Our members areserving individuals, firms, all types of businesses, limited companies, and non-government andgovernment agencies as well.
