Editor's Notes
What would you give up to be a famous Graphic Designer? Would you give up the opportunity to earn lots of money, to pursue your passion?
Or a successful Cleaning Business?
A passion that has laid dominate for seventeen years.
My name is Christine Cunningham, and I have always loved Design.
Now that my son is grown, and has turned out to be a successful, wonderful man.
I am really ready and able to go! Finally, I can follow a path that I have only dreamed about.
Where I am today. Getting to this point has not been easy. I feel like I have often stumbled, but somehow I have always pulled myself up.
My friends tell me that I am like an inflatable clown punching bag, and many of them did not expect this for me.
One of my strongest traits is resilience, along with my unrelenting drive and determination, these traits make it possible for me to dream of things that might be, but, also make them happen.
I am driven by a cultural belief that we are responsible to leave a legacy of kindness
And hope.
As an Air Force Brat, I have traveled the world
And grew up experiencing and valuing many different cultures.
I know that I have lived a privileged life.
In today’s world.
Commercial that aired last year during the Superbowl acknowledges the beauty of diversity and something I aspire to contribute.
I value relationships,
To do a job well, and pay attention to details.
I believe that my work is a reflection of who I am, and I am never satisfied with a project that is not perfectly done.
I love brainstorming, and tearing apart an idea and seeing the ways I can put it back together.
Helps motivate me because of my background. I often surprise myself, by what I can do, and I love this!
I see myself work for a non-profit organization like United Nations Children Fund, also non as UNICEF.
I think UNICEF is an organization that bridges differences, and is a perfect fit for me.
Not only because it is a cross cultural organization, but it allows children hope for a better future in the world.
It emphasizes what I value, education and protecting those that our weaker.
Because of it’s wide reach (155 countries) and it’s uncomprising belief for children’s rights, the role I see myself in, is one developing images, materials and information that would help people better understand UNICEF’S vision, mission, and contributions, and create the world I hope to see.
I see myself developing images, materials, and information that would help people better understand UNICEF’S vision, mission and contributions, and to create the world I hope to see.
My advantage would be the completeness of my dedication to make the world a better place for all of us, and this comes at a settled point in life. I have given so much thought to what matters to me and have the clarity now to see what I can uniquely contribute.
