It is my privilege to write a letter for Christen Profancik who is seeking a position in Music
Education. Christen was an undergraduate student in the music education courses I teach and I served
as her university supervisor for the elementary music student placement.
Christen possesses all the dispositions to become an exemplary music educator. She is an
outstanding musician. Her major is P-12 choral music and she possesses the knowledge and skills to
teach any P-12 general or choral music class. I have always been impressed with Christen’s academic
excellence. In my classes, she always went over and above to ensure she did well prepared work.
She is very responsible, trust-worthy and establishes a positive rapport with all students.
Christen is passionate about making a difference in the lives of all students. When I conducted her
final elementary music placement observation in March 2015, I realized she is a “natural teacher.” In
fact, in my opinion, she demonstrates the teacher dispositions of a practicing teacher rather than a
student teacher.
