Wall Centre
A multi point suspended scaffold was custom made to access the top 17 floors of the 48 storey Wall
Centre in downtown Vancouver.

3. Georgia Hotel, Vancouver
The largest Canadian Flag ever
produced was installed on our
scaffold in Downtown Vancouver for
the Winter Olympics 2010 and was
a distinctive landmark and talking
point during the games.
Crashed Ice, Edmonton
Matakana designed and constructed
to the customer’s specifications, 990’
long by 20’ wide track, for the Red
Bull Crashed Ice Event.
Fairmont Hotel
A Vancouver landmark heritage
hotel was undergoing repair to the
stonework. Matakana supplied and
installed a printed mesh facade that
concealed the scaffolding behind the
image of the hotel.
Guinness Tower
Our new cantilevered protection
fan system was installed on the
downtown hi-rise.
Alberta Legislature
A complete encapsulation of the
Alberta Government Legislature
Building was provided for
refurbishment of stonework.
West Hastings Street
Façade retention for this heritage
building was provided with our SGB
Slim Soldier System.
Vancouver Aquarium
A design build project with ‘Lily
Pad’ roofs overlapping each
other for a temporary entrance to
the aquarium during renovations.
Temporary Roof for
Capilano College
A 400’ long x 90’ wide temporary
roof with access scaffold was
built to enclose the entire
building under construction.
BC Place Stadium
Public access stairs to the
stadium during construction.
North Saskatchewan
River Bridge
Supply and install access to the
underside of a 900’ long bridge.
Fairmont Hotel
Precarious access to the
ornamental steel work and bell
tower to this heritage hotel was
provided.

Bridged walkway over excavation
between public assess stairs and
