Frishman
This is an image of the buffet options at Jerry Mikeska’s Bar-BQ. ‘[It] accurately depicts a curious
juxtaposition of food to prey. Jerry opened his restaurant in Columbus, Texas in 1956, following
the tradition of his father and brothers,’ according to Frishman. ‘“Daddy was a meat man,” Jerry
says. More than 200 taxidermied mounts decorate the walls, but the buffet steam table just comes
out on Sunday. “I only shot a few of these,” Jerry said, “but I bought some more to make an
impression”’

‘I shot Emile in London when I was commissioned to shoot stills for a PayPal ad campaign. The
campaign took its inspiration from Wes Anderson’s film The Royal Tenenbaums. Emile’s styling
was so fantastic I couldn’t resist shooting a portrait of him. I wanted to retain the humour, but
have him looking aloof and hoity-toity’
