EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
As the summer intern and studentassistant for the Departmentof
Pesticide Regulation, I gained some importantexperiencein my field. I
learned about the chain of command in organizationsand I learned
moreabout the way money is spent in my department. I also spentsome
time studyingthe policies of the organization I wasworkingin.
PROJECTS
One of the projects I worked on was updatingthe company’sbudget
with updated salaries and the jump in the percentage of fringe. I also
was taught differentHR practices and even got to carry someout
myself. I entered some FMLA for a worker who had exceeded their
leave.
INTERNSHIP GOALS
One of my internship goals was to gain experience in an office setting
that will help me to feel more comfortable whenever Itransition into
the workingworld. Idefinitely achieved this goal. I also wanted my
internship experience to help me gain some moreinsight into the HR
field. I’m happy to say that this happened as welland it mademe more
confidentthat I chose the right major.
