2. My skills have improved 100% at the start of the college magazine I had never used
photoshop and indesign before and had no idea how to use it, but now I can do almost
everything on my own and what I cannot do I look up on youtube, I have learnt how to
use the patch tool, put a monochrome overlay over images and I can get text to go
around an part of an image, along with a lot more.
The first image you will see is my college magazine cover followed by my music
magazine cover, This allows you to see that my skills have improved and I have explored
photoshop and its ways and even my positioning of thing has improved through
research and development.

5. For my college magazine I had never used indesign before and learned the basic skills which
enabled me come up with a contents page, but since I did my college magazine contents
page I have been playing with it and finding new skills and ways in which I can improve my
work via the buttons and tools that are available for example my college magazine was very
plain with a white background, and a lot of people struggle to read on white and so I have
found a way to change the colour and so for my music magazine I was able to change the
background to a light blue providing others to be able to read the text easily, I was also able
to change the text to white and have a pink background which is brighter and after a few
improvements I have been able to create an easily read content page with lots of space to
provide maximum ease with reading and seeing the most important information on the page.
However my college magazine is very full and doesn’t allow space for the brain to stop it is
constantly busy, too busy so I feel that I have improved this page a lot between the two
projects. I believe that I have been able to capture the fact that the music magazine is infact a
music magazine from the contents page, but I feel that I wouldn’t be able to tell that my
college magazine contents page was actually part of a college magazine. This makes me feel
a lot happier as I feel I have been able to show what a true music magazine for my target
audience should look like.

8. For the college magazine we didn’t have to create a double page spread but, for the
music magazine we did and so I hadn’t had any practice for creating a double page
spread but I feel very happy with what I have come out with, with the knowledge of the
software at the time, creating the double page spread on indesign has also helped me
and my skills so I have gone back time and time again to improve my contents page and
double page spread.
