When I was young, the most interesting and joyful thing for me
was drawing animation and comic characters on paper. I liked
to watch cartoons on television and read comic books, and I
liked to use my memories to draw the characters and scenes
which were from the cartoons and comic books. I especially
preferred to draw them on my textbooks during class time if
the class was too boring. It was my worst habit, but it made me
drawing skill better.
When I attended high school, my grades were not good. My
best friend saw my drawings which were on my textbooks,
and he told me that, “why do not you go to an art college,
your drawings are so great.” So I left my high school to study
painting. Fortunately, I was admitted to the design school of
Jilin province art college. I decided to major in Environmental
art and design which include both interior architectural design
and landscape design because I liked to draw scenes at that
time. During college, by learning the major classes I became
more interested in the field of interior architecture design. I
understood that human live in interior space most of the time
during a day, and the space really can impact human’s be-
haviors and mood. I would like to become a person who can
give people a really engaging interior environmental experi-
ence.
When I was senior in college, I went to a small interior design
firm to do an internship. I got a lot of good feedback from my
clients, and my manager also appreciated my design work
during this period. That really gave me confidence to keep do-
ing this job and I decided to be an interior designer. However,
I also realized that I lacked the needed my design technical
and skills. Therefore, after I graduated from college I decid-
ed to come to the United States to learn Interior Architecture
Design.
For my career goals, I want to become a professional interior
designer. I really want my future clients can enjoy and appre-
ciate my design. I want to build my own interior architecture
design company in China.

international, financial, and
cultural center because the city
is developed and grown by the
residents who originally had a

ish explorer discovered Miami by
sailing in for first time in 1566. In
20th century, most immigrants in
Miami arrived in this Magic Land
by sea.

the world.”

The interior design of the store will use some irregular shapes
to create basic elements. The form will go all across the space
randomly to make an infinite form.
The fresh and white shelves make a contrast with the raw
atmosphere of the space. It plays with the different scale of
the form to emphasize important areas at the same time.

Commercial Design
Location: 1616 20th St, San Fran-
cisco, CA 94107
Area: 5,428 sq.ft.
Potrero Hill is located on the
eastern side of the city, east of
the Mission District and south of
SOMA (South of Market) and the
newly designated district Show-
place Square. It is bordered by
16th Street to the north, Potrero
Avenue and U.S. Route 101 (below
20th Street) to the west and Cesar
Chavez Street to the south.
Potrero Library
The Potrero Renovation was completed on March 6,
2010. Potrero Branch Library was the 22nd branch
established in the San Francisco Public Library
system.
The renovation included seismic retrofitting, acces-
sibility improvements for the disabled and elderly;
and an elevator and additional staircase to access a
new program room, which can accommodate library
classes, events and after-hours activities. A brightly
lit children’s area with an interactive play-to-learn
wall and a new designated teen area were created.
A centerpiece of the library is an new sculpture,
entitled “Here and Past Here”, suspended above the
main staircase. The abstract sculpture, by artist Gina
Telcocci, references Potrero Hill’s unique natural and
cultural history. The renovation was designed by the
Library Design Studio, Bureau of Architecture in the
San Francisco Department of Public Works.

Green Wall
Versa Wall System
The Green Wall Process
The Versa Wall System is the most versatile interior Green Wall sys-
tem in the industry. In a standard installation, it is 100% water effi-
cient, an industry first. Furthermore, it is completely self- contained,
meaning No water will spill out the front onto the leaves of the
plants and in front of the wall. This is the only system in the industry
that has this capability. By using industry standard pots, it is easily
maintained and can have plants easily changed out for different sea-
sons and special occasions. It can be installed on virtually any indoor
surface, and is designed to resist earthquakes. The system consists
of 5 main components:
Versa Wall Trays: patented recycled polypropylene trays that
can fit any wall dimension.
Versa Wall Trays Waterproof Backing: tongue and groove wa-
terproof backing along the entire back surface of the wall.
Versa Wall Trays Plants: accepts industry standard 3.8~4.5
pots, plants don’t need to be removed from their pots. They
just pop into the wall as is.
Versa Wall Trays Remote Irrigation System: computerized ver-
tical ebb n’ flow irrigation system that allows for 24/7 remote
control, when installed with our standard recirculation tanks,
the system is 100% water efficient, all water is used by the
plants.
Versa Wall Trays Recirculation Tanks: stored below or behind
the wall (in an adjacent room. These tanks can be topped up
automatically when a water supply is available or filled by

Interior Perspective Renderings
The three perspectives are showing the space on the library first
floor. The first perspective is the library reception area. It is the most
important area of the library. It designs a custom reception desk
which is created by piling up layers. The LED light sign of the library
and the pendant lights can emphasize the area all the time. Another
two perspectives are the children’s area of the library. The design
creates a colorful and playable experience for kids. It will not only
help children’s parents to keep their kids very reliable, but also it
will let children study be very interested in studying here.

The Adult area of the library is simple and clean. It chooses neutral
color palette to create a harmonious and peaceful reading expe-
renice. The irregular shape of the ceiling combines with the linear
recessed lights emphasize the area distinctly. The adjustable reading
table which is at the middle of the space supports digital screen to
service e- book reading experience.
Interior Perspective Renderings
Every group of layers is always sliced by different directional lines. It
creates negative and positive area to create a non-verbal message to
help people find their way to each functional area. The perspective of
this multifunctional room is on the top of the page. The room follows
the same design language of the concept to design the space. The
last perspective is showing the teen area of the library. Each refer-
ence book shelf separates studying desk to create a more private
area. And also, the double high windows give a really good city view
for the library.

Spatial Design
San Francisco Steak House
Location: 661 Howard St., San Francisco, CA.
The project is located at 661 Howard St., San
Francisco, CA. The restaurant originally is a
Chinese restaurant. According the search of the
project’s neighborhood, numerous local offices,
universities and hotels are around the restaurant.
Therefore, the target users should be local people,
tourists from another cities or aboard and college
students. The project will redesign the whole
restaurant to be an American style steak restau-
rant because downtown area do not have so many
restaurants focused on serving traditional steak.
Also, the American steak will attract more clients
to visit the restaurant. The interior space of the
restaurant generally is a rectangular space, and it
has two floors that can be used.

  • 3. When I was young, the most interesting and joyful thing for me was drawing animation and comic characters on paper. I liked to watch cartoons on television and read comic books, and I liked to use my memories to draw the characters and scenes which were from the cartoons and comic books. I especially preferred to draw them on my textbooks during class time if the class was too boring. It was my worst habit, but it made me drawing skill better. When I attended high school, my grades were not good. My best friend saw my drawings which were on my textbooks, and he told me that, “why do not you go to an art college, your drawings are so great.” So I left my high school to study painting. Fortunately, I was admitted to the design school of Jilin province art college. I decided to major in Environmental art and design which include both interior architectural design and landscape design because I liked to draw scenes at that time. During college, by learning the major classes I became more interested in the field of interior architecture design. I understood that human live in interior space most of the time during a day, and the space really can impact human’s be- haviors and mood. I would like to become a person who can give people a really engaging interior environmental experi- ence. When I was senior in college, I went to a small interior design firm to do an internship. I got a lot of good feedback from my clients, and my manager also appreciated my design work during this period. That really gave me confidence to keep do- ing this job and I decided to be an interior designer. However, I also realized that I lacked the needed my design technical and skills. Therefore, after I graduated from college I decid- ed to come to the United States to learn Interior Architecture Design. For my career goals, I want to become a professional interior designer. I really want my future clients can enjoy and appre- ciate my design. I want to build my own interior architecture design company in China. Biography

Furthermore, it is completely self- contained, meaning No water will spill out the front onto the leaves of the plants and in front of the wall. This is the only system in the industry that has this capability. By using industry standard pots, it is easily maintained and can have plants easily changed out for different sea- sons and special occasions. It can be installed on virtually any indoor surface, and is designed to resist earthquakes. The system consists of 5 main components: Versa Wall Trays: patented recycled polypropylene trays that can fit any wall dimension. Versa Wall Trays Waterproof Backing: tongue and groove wa- terproof backing along the entire back surface of the wall. Versa Wall Trays Plants: accepts industry standard 3.8~4.5 pots, plants don’t need to be removed from their pots. They just pop into the wall as is. Versa Wall Trays Remote Irrigation System: computerized ver- tical ebb n’ flow irrigation system that allows for 24/7 remote control, when installed with our standard recirculation tanks, the system is 100% water efficient, all water is used by the plants.
