Nursing became my dream career due to various experiences that has occurred in my life. This includes experiencing the journey of my grandfather's
health difficulty that lead to his death; my hunger to acquire knowledge and skills of a nurse; several role models; and wanting to experience a
whole new world that comes with being a medical student. Nursing to me is more than just a field of study, but rather a lifestyle I want to insert into
my daily life. Being able to implicate that into my daily routine excites me to begin my journey as a medical student.

Inspired by past and current nurses have also piqued my interest even more. Inspired by past and current nurses have also piqued my interest even
more. Having a relative who is a nurse practitioner has also given me the courage to enter into health science and follow her foot–steps. Reading upon
former nurses and learning about their journey into the field intrigued me as well. Such as Florence Nightingale, one of the finest role models in the
nursing field, contribution enthused me the most. Her passion really showcased in the services that she provided. Changing history and impacting the
field in numerous ways that were never though possible. Such devotion like Nightingale, dedication her life to provide for others is what strengthened
my reason.
Whether it be watching health care professionals on TV running across the hospital floors, or encountering them in actual life at regular check ups. It
has revealed to me that becoming a nurse also entails a new life style. Orderly routines, determination, sterile regimes, showing empathy, and various
other characteristics of nurses; is what truly draws me into wanting to become a part of such a world. These experiences have mold my reasons and
continue to motivate me in furthering my education and in turn accomplish my ultimate goal of becoming a nurse.

3. Why I Chose Nursing
I chose nursing as my profession because of the ability to legitimately make a difference in people's lives. As a nurse, I know that I'd be affecting
other people's lives not only inside of the hospital, but also outside of the hospital. Inside the hospital, I'd be able to interact with and assist patients to
a better state of well–being. The ability to interact with patients on a day–to–day basis is a one of the many reasons I chose nursing; I'd very much like
a career where I am always interacting with others. I enjoy expanding my knowledge of the world around me, and I feel that these day–to–day
interactions would allow my view on the world to grow because I'd be in constant communication with patients of all kinds. Outside of the hospital, I'd
be able to give to the community the knowledge that I know regarding health care that people can use within their own homes and for themselves, and
I feel that these little things learned can really go a long way.
