2. Target Audience
• Our target audience is mainly females aged 12-
19, then potentially expanding to a secondary
audience which would be both genders upwards
of 15. we think that our chosen target audience
would pay to go and see this because it is looking
in depth to the music industry that no one would
really see and it will funny and entertaining.

3. Our audience
• Here is an image of some typical 15
year old teenagers. I think that this age
group would want to see our film as it
will have many comedy elements and I
think even though they are growing up
they still have to be immature and
laugh at silly things which invites them
to watch our film. Also our film will have
a serious aspect as they will be trying
to make their career go back to being
at the top and it will show the amount
of work and effort has to be put in but
you still might not come out on top.

• The One Direction ‘This Is Us’
movie is aimed purely at the
female gender as their fans are
mainly female and varying from
12-17 as this is the sort of age
that loves teenage boy-bands.
This movie is very serious and
gives you a good insight into the
lives of the members but
throughout there are funny
elements as they mess around
quite a lot.

5. Similar Films
• The Michael Jackson ‘This Is It’ movie is
definitely aimed at an older target
audience. I think this because he is
quite a lot older that him, in comparison
to one direction who are much close to
the ages of the target audience. Also
there are a lot more older people that
enjoy Michael Jackson’s music and will
want to watch the film. I would say that
‘This Is It’ is aimed mainly at people of
both genders between the ages of 20-
50 which is a much wider audience but I
think a lot more older people enjoy his
music.
