Charles Motley (pictured above) is the son of
a Naval oral surgeon, so when he considered
a career change, he naturally thought of
medicine. But at age 34, he didn’t want to
invest in many more years of education. CLC’s
associate degree program in medical imaging
provided just what he wanted: a path to an
interesting, well-paid career in health care
that can be completed in just two years.
Spring Semester classes
start January 20.
By 2022, the health care sector will add 15.6 million
jobs—more than any other job sector, predicts the U.S.
Bureau of Labor Statistics. Health care jobs are available
at different educational levels, and offer competitive
salaries, fast-paced, interesting work and the opportunity
to make an important difference in people’s lives.
Sound interesting? CLC offers many health care career
preparation options:
• If your goal is a doctoral or professional degree, start
in one of our transfer majors in pre-dentistry, pre-
medicine, pre-pharmacy or pre-veterinary medicine.
• For a career you can begin right after completing
a credential at CLC and passing licensing exams,
choose one of our programs in dental hygiene, health
information technology, medical assisting, medical
imaging, phlebotomy, emergency medical technology,
registered nursing, surgical technology and
massage therapy.
Learn more about our health care programs and
requirements at www.clcillinois.edu/options.

“Though I was a teacher for seven years,
I’ve always been interested in anatomy
and how the body works. When I wanted
a career change, CLC’s medical imaging
program offered exciting
opportunities.”
