Sebelum melakukan pengukuran bangunan, ada beberapa
hal yang diperlu diketahui, hal tersebut adalah :
1. Denah lokasi
Denah lokasi seluruh bangunan
adalah hal yang harus didapatkan
pertama kali.
• Survey2
2. Crosscheck Lokasi
Setelah denah lokasi didapatkan, maka harus
diperiksa kebenaran denah tersebut. Mulai dari
keliling bangunan, jarak bangunan, bahkan jika
memungkinkan dilakukan pengukuran untuk volume
bangunan.
3. Jumlah lantai tiap gedung
Jumlah lantai tiap gedung juga diperlukan untuk
proses selanjutnya.

Alat yang diperlukan saat pengukuran gedung adalah :
1. Laser Distance Meter (2 unit / team)
2. Kamera
3. Tripod
4. Papan lipat warna putih

Aturan yang digunakan saat melakukan pengukuran adalah :
1. Satuan yang digunakan adalah meter
2. Tidak ada pembulatan kebawah (ex : hasil pengukuran 3,1 meter dibulatkan
menjadi 4 meter
3. Penggunaan laser distance meter menggunakan tripod, apabila tripod tidak ada
maka diusahakan untuk mencari bidang yang datar pada saat pengukuran.
Penggunaan dengan cara dipegang tangan adalah pilihan paling akhir karena
dikhawatirkan hasil yang tidak akurat.
4. Setelah penggunaan alat elektronik, baterai dilepas dan disimpan dalam satu
tempat dengan alat elektronik

untuk panjang bangunan yang terdiri dari 3 (tiga) ruangan, maka panjang
tiap ruangan harus diketahui untuk kemudian dijumlah menjadi panjang
total.
