COMPUTER SCIENCE EXPERIENCE
Pre-accelerator Technical Talent Oct 7 2016 – Present
 I am part of a program run by a sect of the JHU Social Innovation Lab called JHU FastForward. They
pair Computer Science Majors with medical software startups that plan to pilot their software in the
Johns Hopkins Medical Institution. I will be mentored through the end of the Fall semester and
perhaps longer as I build the application my group wants to develop. My group is creating an
application for parents to use in early screening for Autism in young children and infants. I am
responsible for design and will be responsible for development with some guidance from the
program.
ASTi Summer Intern May 23 – Aug 12 2016
 I had a project where I developed a web application that would be used as a tool by one of the
employees. Advanced Simulation Technology Inc. develops pilot simulation training software that
interprets what the trainees say and can respond appropriately. To train the system, they needed a lot
of people to transcribe audio and I was responsible for developing an application that would let
people transcribe locally in the office and allow an admin to create jobs on Amazon’s Mechanical
Turk, letting the admin easily retrieve the results in the proper format to later train the language
models.
UMD Technica Hackathon Nov 7 – Nov 8 2015
 I attended an all-women’s hackathon and my group designed a prototype for a website that would
guide the user through all the major steps of planning an event and letting them search for all the

food, venues and vendors all in one convenient location. We called our project PlanIt. I started to
learn a bit about getting data from the Yelp API.
Indiggo Associates Software Engineering Summer Intern May 18 2015 – August 14 2015
 I worked closely with a team of developers to create an application that would train leaders to use
their time more effectively and thus accomplish their company goals. I took care of bugs, developed
the UI according to feedback from the CEO, and sat in on most of the planning sessions and all of the
demonstrations of the product to the CEO.
Sheltr++ Spring 2015 – Summer 2015
 This is a web based app I’m developing in collaboration with some grad students at the JHU School
of Public Health. The goal is to create a database that all of the homeless shelters in Baltimore can use
to have easy access to each other’ information.
 This project taught me how to use Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Zurb Foundation CSS, Github, and
Heroku.
JHU HopHacks Hackathon Fall 2014
 My group worked on creating a portable keyboard that functioned by attaching buttons to your fingers
and were hooked up to a tiny Arduino chip that would tell a speaker to play so you could play simple
songs wherever you went. I learned how to make a basic Arduino program function in about 24 hours.
LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
BootUp Baltimore Volunteer Spring 2015
 I teach adults computer/digital literacy once a week. For example, we may spend one day going over
how to use Excel and another day how to use internet browsers.
Camp Kesem Outreach Coordinator Fall 2014 – Summer 2016
 I recruit campers for an entirely student run chapter of Camp Kesem, an organization that provides
free camp for children whose parents’ are affected by cancer. I talk to community contacts to find
new families, I keep in touch with parents to make sure they are informed and get all of the
paperwork in. I also have to help raise $50,000 in a year with the rest of the executive board.
Volunteer to teach a first grade class programming for Hour of Code Fall 2014
 I used a kid friendly app that used basic steps to teach first graders how to program a small avatar to
maneuver a small obstacle course and reach targets on the map. This was part of the Hour of Code
initiative to expose young children to programming early in their education to encourage them to
pursue computer science later in their lives.
Camp Kesem Cabin Counselor Aug 2014, Aug 2015
 I was responsible for supervising 3 teenagers at night during sleep away camp for a week.
Tutored with the Tutorial Project at Johns Hopkins University Spring, Fall 2014
 For 2 semesters I tutored one child and made lessons plans twice a week to help build elementary
school aged children’s reading, writing and math skills.
Helped with Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO) at 2 elementary schools July 2007-2014
