assurance that policies, goals and objectives are
formulated in a given school.
Educational manager insures that the policies and
objectives of the school are clearly stipulated and well
known to both the occupants and the society.
Educational management ensures that the long-term
aims of the education system are made feasible
through the short-term objectives of the school.

function of educational is to procure the resources
necessary for the achievement of the objectives.
An educational manager should be able to identify the
resources of funds, the appropriate learning and
teaching resources, the appropriate curriculum and
above all a congenial human resource.

ensure that these resources are procured in good time.

function of educational management is to organize
and coordinate the activities of the school.
Organizing means ensuring that both the staff and
students are allocated duties in accordance with both

the varied duties allocated to individuals are unified in
such manner that all energies are expended towards a
common goal.

the students through proper application and job
satisfaction theories and principals.

educational management is to integrate the school and its
activities into the set-up of the society.
The idea in integration is to strengthen the school-
community relations. This is important because the school
drives most of its financial and social support from the
community.
Therefore, the educational manager should effectively involve
the various organizations operating in various and relevant
school activities. The image and prestige of a school is thus
shaped through this interaction between it and the society.
7. 6- Evaluation School Activities: the fundamental
function of educational management is to evaluate the
school’s activities in accordance with the blueprint.
Evaluation enables the school to determine whether it is
achieving its predetermined objectives or not.
It provides the school management with the necessary
feedback for improvement, redesign or complete
overhaul of the system for better result.
