5. 1. Your standards are too high
. It's great to have high standards. No woman should
sell herself short and then be stuck in a situation she
regrets
6. 2. Negativity is your middle name
.Your always looking in the negative side of a gay and
making judgment about him to make you turn off when he
is showing his interest in you.
7. 3. You're going after the wrong guy
.It happens all too often. You're able to pull what you think
is a fantastic guy, good looking, charming, a guy girls
women would kill for
8. 4. You're not listening
.To listen is to devote your complete attention on the other
person. If your attention is divided between what they're
saying and what you want to say next or how you want to
respond, you will not receive everything he is saying.
9. 5. You don't take care of yourself
. Believe it or not, men care about this. Not in the
ways you think (we're really not caring what brand
shoes are) but we do care if you take care of yourself.
includes things like wearing nice clothes, doing your
makeup, exercising and even what you eat.
10. 6. You're hung up on an ex
. Whether you're still seeing him or still dreaming about
him, the ex is getting in the way and leaving you with
but an empty bed. Sometimes the thoughts of an ex will
you from investing in another man.
11. 7. You're being judgmental and insecure
.Most men do not care to be around women who are full of
judgments about people and life. It's negative, saps out the
fun and motivates us to be on guard with what we say and
how we act.The end result: we don't feel free when we're
with you
12. 8. You give everything up too easily
.When you're a teenager, you think the easiest way to get a
man to stick around is to sleep with him. When you get a
little older, you realize that isn't necessarily the best way.
14. Your Money Is Your Own
Closely related to time is money. Once you have
a family, your spending decisions cease to be
solely your own. When you are a single woman,
however, your spending habits do not affect
anyone else.
15. Get to Know Yourself Well
Many women define themselves by their family
roles.
Being single, however, gives you the chance to
discover who you truly are
16. Your Time Is Your Own
If you are a single woman, You can pick up and
go anywhere you want, anytime you want.
17. Get to Know Your Friends
Many women claim that the friends they made
while single remain their closest friends
throughout life. Plan trips and special activities
with your fellow single women. You have a
unique opportunity to learn to rely and depend
on each other, and develop a strong bond.
18. Get to Know Your Family
As a single woman, you have a unique
opportunity to spend time with your relatives
and get to know them in a new way. Invite your
parents to dinner or see a play with your
brother.
19. Career Freedom
A single woman has the ability to dedicate
herself to her career. If your work is important
to you, this is your opportunity to develop your
career.
20. Travel
If you are single, you can take full advantage of
every day that you can spare. From weekend
jaunts to summer resort vacations, this is the
time in your life when you can best afford to get
away.
21. Seeing Shows
On a practical level, being single has additional
advantages. You can often snag the odd single
seat for otherwise sold-out performances
22. Decide What You Want in a Partner
Living as a single woman gives you the
opportunity to figure out what you truly want in
a life partner
24. Feeling lonely or alone
This feeling will surface when you are
struggling with a big problem,
suffering from an illness, or going
through the major holidays. You will
feel out of sort too when you have no
one to share your secrets or celebrate
a major or exciting event or
achievement
25. Lack of intimacy
One of the disadvantages of not
getting married is the lack of physical
closeness. And as single women get
older, they will have fewer or no
intimate partners.
26. Doing things solo
You will have to cook, clean, shop,
pay the bills and do almost
everything by yourself. If you are a
single parent, you have an additional
responsibility of taking care of the
children without help from your
spouse.
27. Expenses of living alone
It costs more to live alone. You pay
the rental and bills without any
financial assistance. If you don't learn
to budget your money and expenses,
you will find it challenging and feel
the financial constraints. Sharing your
home with another person to ease
your living expenses is an option but
finding the right person is tough.
28. Reducedbenefits.
Singles don't get the extra benefits in
insurance, housing and other areas.
And another one of the
disadvantages of remaining single is
that you have to pay a higher income
tax. Other reduced benefits are like
losing the benefits of the 2 for 1 offer,
and at times having to pay for the
same price a couple pays for a hotel
room or a cruise.
29. Extra safety andsecurity precautions
You don't have to start imagining
being maimed or robbed in your
homes. But you do have to take extra
safety and security precautions when
you choose to live or travel solo.
30. Other Disadvantages
1. You have to search for a date
for outings that require one, i.e.
company parties or double
dates.
2. You get less money for taxes
3. During inclement weather,
you often get restricted to the
house with no one with whom
you can share the moment
4. When it rains it pours and
when it doesn’t there is a
drought. When you are on a roll
meeting new people and
exploring the dating scene it is
like The Weather Girls’ song
“It’s Raining Men.” But when
the dating pool is fresh out and
your bait is not as enticing, you
feel the void.
5. Family and friends always ask
about past relationships that
did not work out. Often, they
ask at the wrong times, i.e.
when you bring someone new
to dinner
31. Direction
1. Get a scratch paper and pen put your
answers in the paper
2. Recall all your experiences in being a
single/ Being in relationship
3. Just take the two experiences that mark
in your mind the most
4. Write how many year, months, weeks,
days are you single/ been single
5. And last Read your Past and you will see
how so long you are single or being
single in the past.
6. Why you still being single till now?
