Most Facebook Users Not
Happy with Video Autoplay
In an effort to continue developing its new model for video ads,
Facebook introduced video autoplay last February. In light of recent
news that Facebook is testing a continuous autoplay feature, Centris
surveyed Facebook members in its Evolution of Video Community to
find out they feel about having videos autoplay on the news feed.
Most Facebook users have noticed the autoplay feature.

The autoplay feature has not been well-received by Facebook
members. Across age groups, the majority do not like the feature and
would prefer to click on videos to play them. This is especially true
among those aged 55 or older.

In light of recent news that Facebook is testing a continuous autoplay feature, Centris surveyed Facebook members in its Evolution of Video Community to find out they feel about having videos autoplay on the news feed. Most Facebook users have noticed the autoplay feature. 18-34 The autoplay feature has not been well-received by Facebook members. Across age groups, the majority do not like the feature and would prefer to click on videos to play them.
