On 'wishes'

1. The Story of
the Star Princess
and the Star Prince
Tanabata Festival July 7th
Let’s write our special wishes ….
and tie them on a wishing tree.

2. Once upon a time…..

3. …there was a Star Princess and a Star Prince.
They loved each other very much.
But they were sad because they lived far away from each and they were
always busy.
In one year they had only one day of holiday.

4. ….the 7th of July.
On this special day the Star Princess and the Star Prince could shine together
on the night sky.
So…each year on this day we can write our wishes and tie them on a wishing
tree.
The Star Princess and the Star Prince are going to read all our wishes. Maybe
some will come true.

5. Let’s have some examples:
I wish I could…

6. I wish I could fly.

7. I wish I could speak Chinese.

8. I wish I could visit Bangkok.

9. I wish everyone would be happy.

10. Now: please think about your
special wish
and
write it down on your notebook.

11. Let’s get into groups of four.
You can share your wish with your
friends.
Then write it down on the piece of
coloured paper.

12. Now: let’s share
our wishes with
the rest of the
class.

13. And now let’s go outside
together and tie our wishes to
the wishing tree.
The Star Princess and the Star Prince are
going to read all our wishes….maybe some
will come true.
