2. Doddle & Co’s The Pop
• A binky that stays clean when it falls on the
ground. The nipple pops into place so that it never
gets dirty.
• Why people (think) they need it
• The Pop retails for $10 a piece when a regular
pacifier runs from $3 to $4 dollars. The outside of
the Pop that drops on the floor can still get dirty—
Your baby still has that portion on there face so
you are having to wash it just like a regular
pacifier.
• So Really…
• This product did not solve a problem, it just
created or remained the same as a regular pacifier.
Sanitizing pacifiers is important whether they
drop on the ground or not it is a task that
parents should be doing.
3. Snuggle Me Organic
Lounger
• A lounger designed to hug your baby.
• Why people (think) they need it
• It’s a portable sleep station for a baby. The trick is the Snuggle me
Organic clearly states on there website “The Snuggle Me should not
be used inside of a crib, government regulated bassinet or for any type
of unsupervised sleep. It can be used as a SUPERVISED nap spot
where a caregiver is attending baby and monitoring baby.”
• So Really…
• You can use this product only if you like to supervise your kids while
they take naps. Otherwise, your baby should not sleep or use this
without a parent or adult guardian watching. So according to the
company you cannot use this for overnight sleep (since you don’t
supervise) or for unattended naps. The only time you can use this
product is if you are in the room watching your baby. Or you can just
put a blanket on the floor for your baby and save $156 dollars.
4. The Munchkin Wipe Warmer
• A product designed so that a babies bum isn’t cold when
changing diapers. Why people (think) they need it
• I am guilty of buying this product when I had a newborn
(yikes) my reason for buying was literally only this “I
thought I needed it” Instead of thinking about the
functionality or long term use I just bought it. Most people
buy it probably because they want to keep wipes moist
and tiny babies bums not freezing cold. Typically the price
range for these run from $25–30 dollars.
• So Really…
• If you want to keep your child's bum from being cold from
a wipe you should really buy this. Or just buy regular
wipes keep them in a normal temperature room and pay
$5 dollars instead. Another saving point on buying regular
wipes is these warmers spill water or if you forget to put
water in them the wipes dry up. Ours ended up breaking
for me to realize that this product was not necessary.
