(Carmela Standup): The University of Toledo is
promoting a healthy campus by encouraging
students to get their flu shots.
(VO / NAT): With cold and flu season among us
– receiving a seasonal flu vaccination could
protect you from the most anticipated influenza
viruses.
According to the C-D-C- the vaccination
takes up to two weeks to build immunity to the
viruses – so it is best to get vaccinated earlier in
the season.
Campus Health Clinic Manager – Nancy
(GAY-JER) – thinks it is important to get
vaccinated to protect yourself and others on
campus.

“So you really can’t even really take
precaution to prevent it, other than the
vaccine- because you’re not even aware that
you are coming down with the flu when you’re
actually spreading it.”
(VO / NAT): (GAY-JER) hopes that promoting the
flu shot as a way to protect our campus – will
encourage more students to get vaccinated.
