Slide 2- Bonny and slide

 Good use of music- ticking clock sets tone for
ad where Audi set out to convey the passing of
      time.
 Good sense of Irony- R8 is Audi’s fastest ever
      sports car. The term
      “The slowest car we’ve
      ever built” is both attention
      grabbing and ironic.
Is also clever as it illustrates
      the huge amount of work
that is put into making each
      Audi R8
Slide 3- The slide and groom

 An Ad made for TV- this medium was
the only way Audi could realistically
convey the passing of time, whilst at
the same time showing off the
                            aesthetic beauty of their car.
 Expensive to make. Took 8 days to film
and incorporates a huge amount of
                            post production work. At 90seconds
long it would also cost much more to
                            broadcast.
 All in all works extremely well.
                            Succeeds in everything which Audi
                            set out to do.

Slide 5- Slide (in the name of love)

An ad made for TV that signifies the
                    enjoyment and humour from
                    drinking WKD.
It symbolises a fun night out for
                    everyone who drinks the
                    alcopop.
Attempts to contrast the image that
                    drinking has and promote an
                    enjoyable, harmless side.
Slide 6- Law asliding citizen

 There’s no bottle of WKD shown until
the end of the ad which keeps the
      viewer’s attention
 Punch line comes at the end of the
      ad (like other WKD ads).
 Done very successfully. Keeps the
viewer watching until the end and
      then shows the drink.
 Cheap enough to make. All based
      around the joke.
 Exactly like all other WKD ads-i.e. A
joke with a punchline and then the
drink shown at the end in the pub.
Slide 7- Slide and seek

 Ad was banned as it
                              was considered too
                              controversial- Do you
                              agree?

                           http://www.youtube.co
                              m/watch?v=nojWJ6-
                              XmeQ
Slide 8- Hitch-hikers slide to the galaxy

   Why was it banned?
      Negative view towards
      the difficulties in raising
      children? The idea that
      “a mistake” such as this
      child can be avoided if
      we use contraception?
 The fact that the ad was
      banned was perhaps a
      blessing. It quickly
      became an internet hit
      and therefore got, and
      continues to get more
      airtime than the
      producers could have
      ever imagined.
Slide 9- West slide story

 Excellent use of both sound and
                                vision. Sound particularly helps
to contribute to the feeling of
                                annoyance towards the child.
The intention here is to frustrate
the viewer as much as possible.
                             Not a particularly expensive
add to make, and now gets a
huge amount of free airtime on
the net as a viral video.
                             Simple concept which works
extremely well. This is in no small
                                part down to the excellent
                                twinning of sound and vision.
