INHW Press Release
1. PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Institute for Natural Health & Wellness Launches
FLEMINGTON, NJ—A new business launches that aims to connect professionals of all different
modalities representing the natural world. “Why doesn’t a farmer know a nutritionist? Or an
acupuncturist know a chiropractor, or a spiritual guide know an herb grower?” says Founder and
Executive Director Camille Miller. “As I looked for my own place in the community I realized
these smaller professionals need a community to connect and grow their businesses through
networking. After all, we give referrals to people we know, like, and trust.” Miller created the
Institute of Natural Health & Wellness (INHW), after leading the New Jersey Chapter of the
Northeast Organic Farming Association for four years as the Executive Director. “I saw so
many great farmers who were truly passionate about their work, but lacked some basic
business skills necessary to grow their business and thrive. When I went into the holistic field, I
saw the same things. It’s all about growing your small business, regardless of what it is. At
INHW, we are more focused on the like-mindedness of those in the natural world, so we can
refer to each other.”
INHW is a membership based professional organization, much like a Chamber of Commerce,
for the natural health & wellness community and like-minded individuals. The organization’s
purpose is to foster professionalism and growth in the community while providing valuable
business support, local networking opportunities, and promoting the importance of natural
health & wellness at a national level.
Membership includes face-to-face networking, classes on leadership skills, and monthly
discussions on business topics such as hiring assistants, marketing your business, and learning
financials. Specific groups can even form their own mastermind group, brainstorm ideas and
have access to best practices consulting practitioners across the nation. “I also hope that
members will teach others about their profession with webinars and classes. It's a way to build
community between so many people that are like-minded, but don't have a natural group” added
Miller. “This idea truly came out of my passion for natural health and my wanting to make the
practice of natural health and wellness more professional, so it will eventually be more
accepted.”
After decades of experience in building businesses, running non-profits, and being blessed with
an aptitude for fostering relationships, Miller says she knew the best way she could help was to
create a professional organization committed to advancing the natural health and wellness
2. community. She envisions multi-disciplinary practitioners, and the natural living community
coming together as a cohesive group to connect and collaborate. “We have partnered with other
‘sister organizations’ to spread the word and work together to raise the professionalism and
awareness for the many, many people working in holistic fields. Our goal is to collaborate, not
compete. We will not be offering a national conference, but will be encouraging members to
form networking events at our sister organization’s national conferences. We will not be offering
pay per class programming, but will publicize our member’s events and programs. All of our
support and programs are included in membership. There are no other costs. It’s a bargain for
the small office/home office entrepreneur. We believe in the power of a partnership and
collaboration between private, public, and non-profit sectors with a united voice advancing
together.”
There is a deep dissatisfaction arising around our national healthcare system, along with the
feelings of despair for many chronically ill patients, that has turned many towards holistic
practices that cost less money, and serve a broader approach to healing with more time and
attention given to the patient. We now see MDs, NDs, reikki masters, nutritionalists, farmers,
and many other healing art practitioners coming together to serve the patient in the best interest
for their health and lifestyle. INHW was formed to lend credence to this rebirth of natural
healing, and to build and support the many practitioners and the natural community through
networking and sharing best business practices. There is no other collaborative network of this
magnitude working together for a healthier nation.
The Institute for Natural Health & Wellness is a member-based professional organization dedicated to the
advancement of the natural health and wellness community to include sustainable agriculture, natural and
holistic medicine, the healing arts, spiritual studies, and the best environmental choices for our food
system. We represent our members as a unified voice while providing valuable business support, local
networking opportunities while promoting the importance of natural health & wellness at a national level.
