6. NON TRADITIONAL
Our non-traditional advertisement is ZipCar-sponsored mints. Our campaign
is adamant on using ZipCar for all people, and we are pushing
advertisements that inspire people, no matter sexual orientation, to take
time to adventure and go on dates with that special someone. Mints that
have ZipCars’ rainbow version of the logo are our non-traditional form of
advertising. Because people will often use mints to have fresh breath before
a date, we believe this is a quirky alternative that not only furthers our
advertising strategy but also offers a unique product.

8. Microsite
For our website, the homepage consists of five main tabs in order to effectively navigate around ZipCar’s website. From
left to right, the first two tabs on the top indicate an “About” section for the services they offer as well as a “Getting
Started” tab which contains relative pricing information and information on the company’s mission itself. The “For
Sustainability” and “For Equality” tabs are placed at the top to distinguish two of ZipCar’s corporate values, and can be
used to access personal customer stories and information on previous projects. Specifically, under “For Equality”, users
have the option to learn more about ZipCar’s “Drive Towards Equality” campaign, as well as current projects and events
ZipCar has underway. Once clicking the tab “zip to your next adventure”, you are taken to a station locater where users
can input their zip code to find a variety of stations nearest them as well as a drop down feature used to narrow down
vehicles by their models.

For our advertisements the goal was to
create a story that a ZipCar is able to take
you on any adventure you want to go on.
Whether or not it was a date night, a
camping trip or anything in-between.
Going on an adventure is something to be
shared with someone you care about no
matter someones sexual orientation.
Everyone deserves to adventure and using
ZipCar is a way to do so.
