HAVING a passion for his
work earned HHH Partners
Chartered Accountants
finance manager Cameron
Smoothy the Bank of
Queensland Consultant of
the Year award for the state.
Mr Smoothy was
recognised for the award
through his work with BOQ
Equipment Finance Limited
which is part of his job.
“The business
development manager Peter
Delahunty advised me a
couple of months ago that I
was a nominee for an award
and they invited me to
attend a function in Sydney,”
he said.
“At this function I was
awarded the Queensland
Consultant of the Year and
was also a nominee for the
National Consultant of the
Year. It was a complete
surprise.”
Mr Smoothy said the
award came as a surprise
because HHH Partners was a
small operation compared to
metropolitan specialist
companies.
“Apparently, I am easy to
deal with from the banks
perspective and I present
good quality applications to
them,” he said.
“I have a willingness to
support them in making the
best credit decision by
providing all client detail
and assistance and
readiness to render
assistance to other
departments of the bank,
like the settlements team.
“Also my client knowledge
and understanding of their
businesses assists as well as
passion for client servicing.”
Mr Smoothy said his
passion for his job came
from a love of dealing with
clients and using his
experience to have items
bought quickly and easily
for them.
“I had 16 years with
Westpac in various roles and
it was here that the
customer service mantra
and understanding of what
clients want, came into
being,” he said. “I would like
to add is a big thank you to
all of my clients for using my
services here at HHH, their
patronage is the reason I got
the award.”
