Sales Associate: Shoe Department Encore; Akron, Ohio
Assisted in clerical responsibilities.
Responsible for answering and resolving complaints within the communities
associated with each ward.
Organized community programs and events
Responsible for organizing new initiatives led by City Council members.
Worked to organize events with multiple non-profit organizations in
conjunction with city initiatives.
Assisted in the writing of grants focused on environmental, art and culture, and
city beautification projects.
Assisted in building customer relationships through interpersonal communication
and store promotions.
Conducted fiscal transactions on POS systems including: opening and closing the
register, exchanging money, troubleshooting problems, balancing the cash drawer,
and entering financial data into the database.
Assisted in maintaining inventory records by: conducting inventory checks, replacing
merchandise, and assess consumer demands.
Assembled products according to the visual merchandising plan created by the
company in a way that was ascetically pleasing and readily accessible.
Tutor: Booker T. Nelson Education Center: East Cleveland, Ohio
Tutor innercity and atrisk youth in the subject areas of Math, Science,
Social Studies, and English/Language Arts.
Consulted with students on essays and other homework assignments.
Lead as the technology programmer for the center and adjoining church.

Mentored young inner city students
Assisted in developing programs and events geared toward improving the futures of
the students participating in the program
Utilized communication skills to allow students to relate their situations to my own.
Public Speaking: Multiple locations around Cleveland, Ohio
Memorized and preformed the Martin Luther King Jr. "I Have A Dream" Speech.
Spoke at multiple Cleveland schools to all grade levels regarding continuing education
and giving positive reinforcement.
