The document provides information about HPE InfoSight capabilities for 3PAR storage systems. It discusses registering systems with InfoSight, customizing the portal views, and the various types of analytics available including storage health checks, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and cross-stack visibility into VMware environments. The document is a user guide intended to help customers get started with using InfoSight to manage their 3PAR infrastructure.
2. HPE InfoSight for 3PAR StoreServ
We continue to add new enhancements and are excited to share them with
you and hear your feedback!
– Getting Started
– This guide will help with the basics of logging into the portal for the first time,
configuring and verifying your HPE Passport account, registering your systems, inviting
your colleagues and partners to share access, using the portal’s context sensitive help,
and engaging with our Portal Support team for any questions, comments, feedback or
issues you have when exploring the portal.
– About the 24-48 hour lag
– Most all system details exposed in the portal (with the exception of VMware performance) are
lagged about 1-2 days from the point of collection. See the “Last Update” for the last data point
we processed for a given system. This is something we plan to improve in our future releases
with a move to streaming for a more “near real-time” portal experience.
– Context-sensitive Help
– Look for icons and select them to expose the help topic
– Resources > HPE InfoSight Portal Support
– If you have any questions, or encounter any issues while using the portal
– Please click on the embedded links to engage our Portal Support
– Using these links will provide us with your detailed user profile information, this debug info
will assure our team can resolve any inquiries quickly
– Please do not engage HPE Support (CSC) for HPE InfoSight Portal Support
– Please do not use HPE Support Center to “open a support case for your device” for
assistance with HPE InfoSight as these teams do not provide support for the HPE
InfoSight portal
– Our on-line help will guide you to use HPE Support if needed when you have an issue
specific to your Storage System that requires attention or support intervention
– The Portal Support team may guide you to contact HPE Support if you are having
issues with your system’s remote connectivity (call home)
