Version 1.4 - June 14th, 2018
HPE InfoSight for 3PAR StoreServ
We continue to add new enhancements and are excited to share them with you and
hear your feedback!
– Getting Started
– This guide will help with the basics of logging into the portal for the first time, configuring and
verifying your HPE Passport account, registering your systems, inviting your colleagues and
partners to share access, using the portal’s context sensitive help, and engaging with our
Portal Support team for any questions, comments, feedback or issues you have when
exploring the portal.
– About the ~24-48 hour lag
– In addition to registration processing, most all system details exposed in the portal (with the exception
of VMware performance which is processed every 1-3 hours) are lagged about 1-2 days from the point
of collection. See the “Last Update” for the last data point we processed for a given system.
– Context-sensitive Help
– Look for icons and select them to expose the help topic
– Our help system is searchable, just type Search dialog to find related topics.
– Resources > HPE InfoSight Portal Support
– If you have any questions, or encounter any issues while using the portal
– Please click on the embedded links to engage our Portal Support team
– Using these links will provide us with your detailed user profile information, this debug info will assure our
team can resolve any inquiries quickly
– Please do not engage HPE Support (CSC) for HPE InfoSight Portal Support
– Please do not use HPE Support Center to “open a support case for your device” for assistance with HPE
InfoSight as these teams do not provide support for the HPE InfoSight portal
– Our on-line help will guide you to use HPE Support if needed when you have an issue specific to your
Storage System that requires attention or support intervention
– The Portal Support team may guide you to contact HPE Support if you are having issues with your
system’s remote connectivity (call home)

6
HPE InfoSight for 3PAR StoreServ
30 Day Trial
All systems with Hardware Warranty only, or Foundation Care
support contracts will automatically receive a 30-Day Trial upon
initial registration
– Provides an opportunity for the customer to acquire, renew or
upgrade their support contract while using the portal with full
capabilities
– Provides the user time to work with the Services360 team to
address any entitlement issues
– When the 30-Day Trial expires, details for systems under
Hardware Warranty only will no longer be exposed for reporting
– Systems with Foundation Care entitlement will continue to see all
system details, but will no longer receive Wellness Status &
Summary email notifications
– Verify entitlement is registered properly (SN is linked to the
SAID) via HPE Support Center Warranty Check

  • 1. HPE InfoSight for 3PAR QuickStart Guide Wiley Thrasher 3PAR PEAK – HPE InfoSight Champion Version 1.4 - June 14th, 2018
  • 2. HPE InfoSight for 3PAR StoreServ We continue to add new enhancements and are excited to share them with you and hear your feedback! – Getting Started – This guide will help with the basics of logging into the portal for the first time, configuring and verifying your HPE Passport account, registering your systems, inviting your colleagues and partners to share access, using the portal’s context sensitive help, and engaging with our Portal Support team for any questions, comments, feedback or issues you have when exploring the portal. – About the ~24-48 hour lag – In addition to registration processing, most all system details exposed in the portal (with the exception of VMware performance which is processed every 1-3 hours) are lagged about 1-2 days from the point of collection. See the “Last Update” for the last data point we processed for a given system. – Context-sensitive Help – Look for icons and select them to expose the help topic – Our help system is searchable, just type Search dialog to find related topics. – Resources > HPE InfoSight Portal Support – If you have any questions, or encounter any issues while using the portal – Please click on the embedded links to engage our Portal Support team – Using these links will provide us with your detailed user profile information, this debug info will assure our team can resolve any inquiries quickly – Please do not engage HPE Support (CSC) for HPE InfoSight Portal Support – Please do not use HPE Support Center to “open a support case for your device” for assistance with HPE InfoSight as these teams do not provide support for the HPE InfoSight portal – Our on-line help will guide you to use HPE Support if needed when you have an issue specific to your Storage System that requires attention or support intervention – The Portal Support team may guide you to contact HPE Support if you are having issues with your system’s remote connectivity (call home) 2 Welcome to the HPE InfoSight Portal!
