LEARNING OBJECTIVES
M At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to touch their corresponding body parts while singing the song.
C At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to describe their human body models correctly with support.
I. PRE-LESSON
1. Play a pointing game with the pupils.
2. Say “Point to your knees.”
3. Pupils listen and point to their knees.
4. Repeat with other parts of the body.
II. LESSON
DEVELOPMENT
1. Activity 1:
Pre-teach shoulder.
Review other parts of the body by showing flashcards.
Slowly reveal each flashcard card and have your pupils touch their part of the body.
Chorus each word three times.
Pupils listen and follow.
2. Activity 2:
Play the song.
Repeat several times and encourage pupils to join in with the actions and words.
When pupils know the song well, give out the body part flashcards.
Pupils should hold up their flashcard when the name of their body part is sung.
3. Activity 3:
Distribute my body craft templates to pupils.
Pupils assemble the body parts.
Monitor and help as and when necessary.
Guide pupils to describe it to the class using the language as in p.101
III. POST LESSON
1. Guide pupils to change the body parts in the song to other body parts.
2. Pupils touch the parts of their body with both hands in time with the song.
