1. -“Water Perceptions”-
-(2016)-
-“The images of the work , allow the observer of this “very paticular” documentation to go
forward in a separate world ” populated by water elves”.
- “I don’t like very much describing and explaining my Photography work because I think
the images are much more significant than many words”.
- What I “can say” about this unique project , is“it was born”, like many others, from my
own-private need to investigate such an amazing and complex reality, which no one had
never portrayed and published in Italy, concerning a very particular social sphere; having
the opportunity to develop my research in a very special and sensitive context:
Try to “immerse myself in the autism, in the perception of those who is themselves in this
condition almost cathartic even if “from an outside first looks may appear very very
unhappy”... .
-Through a personal , deep, analytical self analysis , meditation and concentration , in “my
climax”, forgetting myself , I felt really close to “ those kids reality- perceptions”.
-The swimming-pool like a “magic lake”, the water “as a mystic amniotic fluid”, in
where “The little sick Elf”, perceives, once again, ancestral and beneficial sensations,
finds relief, calm, pleasure; his right biological rhythm of mind, away from the
suffering of the outside world... .
1.*For auitisich children this water experimental therapy, it “becomes” also an exsential
element , a chance to feel , to play and growth with “the other healthy children”, for an open
contact between what is considered by society ,“normal” and “different”.
°Above all I was interested in finding the children ‘s expressiveness, so pure and
spontaneous, no longer absent but now active and alive: expressive of a multitude of
2. different moods.
Expression that , in the autistic children it becomes, from one side, a bit clumsy but,
from the 'other, reveals a wonderful sense of sublimation, of a perception of a "world"
that we can not feel, realize and understand but only just to examine:
I wanted to open a door to this children’s world that I consider an outstanding human
beauty.
