I do not think that there is a single person out there in the world like what I stated above because someone could be good in one area, but lack in

A captain can be responsible by getting her work done in a timely manner, admitting her mistakes, not making excuses, not procrastinating, being
consistent, and being a goal setter. Another quality a captain should have is honesty; she should never lie to her superiors and always take
responsibility for her actions. A captain must be able to work with anyone in the guard or the band; she must have the ability to put aside personal
problems for the greater good of the band. I believe I possess these skills because I am always early to practices and performances; I have only had 2
excused absences. I always complete and turn in my pass offs in a complete and timely manner. I always come prepared to practices and
performances, and because of this I have never failed inspection. I take all forms of work very seriously; this is present through my course load and
grades. I chose to take the most challenging classes possible. A captain also needsleadership skill and the ability to remain calm in tough situations. I
have earned leadership skills through many other extracurricular activities. I taught dance to children who ranged from the 1st to 4th grade age
levels. I coached swim to children 6 and under, focusing on a 4 year old with Down's syndrome. I have won the Most Dedicated Member of the
Swim Team for two consecutive years and I have won the Junior Star Student award in dance. I have also volunteered as a Vacation Bible School
