Afghanistan. Had overall responsibility to meet all timelines of the project. Coordinated with military command,
local civilian contractors, and suppliers to assure that we kept on schedule while being mindful of security
concerns. Contended with the challenges of ordering and procuring materials and equipment, with lead times as

personnel, to repairing and refurbishing wells, to establishing operational fire departments. Managed the expansion
of some bases while closing others.
