My Mission & Strategy
I am looking for an existing team to join,
with a focus on youth development,
outdoor classroom, and families.
Camps nourish all this naturally, in the
great outdoors.
The CampGRiT Concept reveals my
passion to pursue a special youth program
which will directly affect their personal
lives, their school life, and their future.
Success comes from running a camp as a
The CampGRiT Concept
Behind nearly every successful
leader in the corporate or non-profit
world, there is a change-making
childhood camp story they love to
share. Camp is where tomorrow’s
leaders are nurtured, encouraged,
strengthened and inspired to dream
big and touch lives.
CampGRiT has the ability to bridge
social, racial, physical and/or
economic iniquities for both the
youth participants and the older
youth leaders, who are building the
self-confidence and grit to innovate
business, to fulfill its mission.
Years of working with young people,
coupled with 30 years in Corporate
America, has prepared me well.
They instilled in me the enthusiasm,
perseverance, and determination to seek
out a year-round position where my
experiences can be best shared.
If your existing youth/family organization
lacks a camp environment, let’s work
together to build one.
A full resume’ and additional
information can be found online at
www.campgrit.org
and execute.
CampGRiT creates a unique
environment outside the home or
classroom, unplugged and more self-aware.
It is a Nature’s Classroom!
Families return to camp to renew
their spirits and familial purpose.
CampGRiT leverages the wilds of the
outdoors, coupled with intentional
programs to instill leadership
characteristics and creativity into
the lives of kids. At the same
time, bringing in executive style
training for the youth staff to create
leaders of consequence. Social
entrepreneurship requires

Build a Mission & Vision

HAVE FUN!
Youth today need GRiT, and several other tools to be successful at
home, school, and work. CampGRiT can also be a model to help
break the cycle of poverty for many Title 1 school kids.
Angela Duckworth, Psychologist at the University of Pennsylvania,
defines GRiT as “perseverance in pursing your passion”. Nature
helps kids (especially those with ADD & ADHD) broaden their
attention spans to bigger and more experiential tasks and discovery.
Paul Tough, bestselling author, How Children Succeed posits – kids
need curiosity, self-control, zest, social intelligence, gratitude,
optimism and GRiT. They need to be outside, disconnected from
electronics and artificial stimuli.
Richard Louv, bestselling author, Last Child in the Woods, describes
children has having a “Nature-Deficit-Disorder”. He brings together
the CampGRiT concept.
Our elementary teachers, and parents/
guardians also need their kids learning
& exploring the outdoors. Nature is
where S.T.E.M, literature, stewardship,
and creativity have naturally existed for
millenniums. Nature’s Classroom will
become our kid’s competitive advantage in
the “chaotic, ephemeral and fickle world”
(Tom Peters, author) in which they live.
