Brett Brown had a career as an acrobatic trampolinist, representing Canada internationally from 1978-1984 and winning gold at the World Games in 1981. He then transitioned into variety theater performances and work with circuses. In the 1990s, Brett shifted into booking and producing corporate events of varying sizes. Throughout his career, Brett has gained extensive experience in entertainment programming and delivering unique packages to niche markets.
1. Brett Brown – A Quick Biography
Brett jumped into the entertainment industry as an acrobat (trampolinist) in 1977.
From 1978-1984 Brett represented Canada, around the world, as a member of the national
Trampoline team.
During this time he performed in many shows, to raise money, to compete on the International
Circuit.
In 1981 Brett won the coveted Gold Medal at the World Games in Santa Clara, California
In 1984 Brett retired from the competitive scene to chase a new goal…. MONEY!
Brett formed an act called “Flips Unlimited”, performing in variety theatre.
Shortly after, a friend asked Brett he was interested in performing in a small eastern circus. This
was the start of something great.
The act went on to perform across North America including venues such as Caesar’s Palace.
Brett went on to create the Ramp and Tramp Flying Circus Freestyle Ski Show.
He had 2 touring units, which played at every major Fair in the U.S., and Canada and another unit
on the Ringling Bros./Barnum and Bailey Circus – The Greatest Show On Earth – produced by
Kenneth Feld.
In 1991 Brett suffered a career-ending injury.
At this same time Brett was also booking and procuring acts for an local entertainment company.
Since then Brett has booked, managed and produced various corporate events from an intimate
gathering to 40,000 of his closest friends. He is a founding member, and a Past President of The
Canadian Special Events Society; Brett is also a long-standing member of M.P.I. Brett was the
Entertainment Programming Director for the Public Grand Opening of the New Vancouver
Convention Centre.
Another feather in his cap, Brett became the Director of Programming for the Richmond Ozone
Celebration Site of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
His duties included working with Olympic Athletes and over 4000 entertainers during the 17 day
event.
2. His recent focus has been in the Incentive Travel and Corporate markets. Brett has developed
considerable expertise in delivering unique entertainment packages to niche markets.
