Work Experience Embedded Systems Intern - MIT Lincoln Lab, Lexington, MA June 2015 - August 2015
Used C++ to implement the CANOpen protocol to control multiple stepper motors over CAN bus.
Designed and implemented a procedure for modules to report appropriate errors. Modified the C++
application state machine to include a fault state to handle critical error cases. Used QtCreator to add
error handling components to the UI of the application. Gave a final presentation of accomplished work
at the end of the internship.
Software Intern - Sunrise Laboratories, Auburn, NH May 2014 - January 2014
Worked on developing an Android App that used Bluetooth Low Energy to connect a smart-phone
with a pressure sensor device. Used IAR Embedded Workbench to develop applications on STM32F4-
DISCOVERY microprocessor. Used Microsoft Visual studio to receive serial data packets corresponding
to blood sugar levels, graph the results, and used CRCs to verify the packets were being sent and
received properly. Ran software testing on multiple boards used in medical devices, worked to meet
medical software requirements, experienced code reviews, and performed an internal audit on previous
projects. Completed an extensive study on Subversion Revision Control System, and a wrote report
describing basic usage and Subversion architecture. Worked with the Understand IDE code analyzer
and wrote Perl scripts to help test source code to meet the company’s coding standards.
Student Grader - Physics Mechanics, WPI September 2014 - November 2014
