Texting while driving accounts for approximately one point six million accidents every year.
Twenty-three percent of all auto accidents involve someone using a cellphone. Fifty-two percent of teen
drivers talk on cellphones while driving. Thirty-four percent text while driving. Twenty-seven percent of
adults also text. Texting while driving makes a person twenty-three times more likely to crash then some
who doesn’t and six times more likely than someone driving under the influence. Put away your phone
so you don’t become a statistic.
