4. ABSTRACT
➢ This project intends to bring awareness on the effect of
road accidents due to visibility issues and to solve these
problems.
➢ A survey was conducted in order to know the reasons for
Road accidents and when most of the accidents are
happening.
➢ To achieve the milestone of reducing accidents to less than
10% we produce the idea to prevent accidents which can be
deployed in night time .
➢ As of now we made a paper prototype that would help in
preventing accidents.
5. How does this project relates
to Society?
➢Road accidents are increasing day by day as
motorization increases. People are able to drive
recklessly, affecting the safety if common people.
➢As we all know that road safety is shared
responsibility. Many people in the society are not
aware of the accidents happening due to
overspeeding,visibility issues,etc.
➢With low cost methods we can reduce accidents upto
some extent.
➢We can reduce the graph of road accidents.
6. Introduction
❑ In this modern era with such innovative tecnhnology
and science we people still couldn't fight against one
of the major causes of death .
❑ In 2018, a whopping 4.47 people lakh died.
❑ In 2017, a staggering 60% of people of ages 18-35
years, who lost their lives due to this reason.
❑ Year by year the count has been increasing due to
the same reason.

7. ❑ Going through various phases of design thinking and innovation. We decided that
Prevention of Road accidents as of now can be of great help .
❑ We had a survey of 100 people.
❑ We have chosen this topic as it’s the most alarming problem in our daily life.
❑ Many GO’s in the form of norms and regulations had been passed by
government for traffic rules but still we are unable to reduce the road
accidents.

12. IDEAS
1.Night vision
➢ Helps to view
Clearly at night
2.Thermal Sensors
It is the simplest
way for detecting
animals/humans .
3.Glass protection
❑ A glass which helps to
eradicate improper
vision.
14. Thermal sensor
❖ It will be used in night. It can detect any animal or a human which
we are not able to see and help to stop the car.
2.High intensity red light has higher
intensity than low intensity light of whatever
colour.
3. Red is the lowest energy visible light
and violet is the highest
15. 3.Glass protection
i)Common problem in villages or cities
where there is one road and vehicles
travel In both directions during night time
causing accidents such that their light
falls on their vehicle glass.
ii)By using monolithic acrylic glass
material we can reduce
light intensity and there by users can have
proper vison during night time
iii)It also helps to view clearly during morning
time when there is more day light.
16. CONCLUSION
1.By following this method we can reduce
accidents
2. Though there is an increase in technology to
reduce the accidents, we have to take
responsibility and drive safely by taking proper
precautions.
3. Also recently few companies like Tesla and MG
are using Autopilot system in cars which can be
helpful to reduce the accidents.
4.Companies like Kia,Hyundai,Suzuki,Tata should
provide Auto pilot mode.
5.Most of the Accidents are happeing at
weekends.
