BETH A TURNER-GRAZIANO
Who I Am:
 I believe all companies have great people, dedicated people, trustworthy people, people
who want the organization to thrive. We must clearly communicate where we are headed
and how they can help….and they will.
 I believe that any great HR program involves empowering people. I don’t want to just say
we will empower people, but actually do it! By listening to what people have to say, asking
them to take ownership for the solutions and their decisions, and giving them a stake in the
outcome’s success, together we can accomplish anything.
 I am passionate about creating calm from chaos. It’s fun for me to work collaboratively with
others while cleaning up those messy dysfunctional processes, systems, and teams, or just
working to cultivate the climate where cultural and sound business results evolve from a flat
and nimble organization.
 I love process, and believe it can be used to create cultural discipline while at the same
time, encouraging the innovation, creativity, and productivity critical to the long-term financial
success of the business.
 Although I firmly believe in compliance programs and integrating them into the organization,
I know that there ultimately isn’t a compliance program in the world that will avoid a union, a
grievance, or a lawsuit. This only happens if we really care about and believe in the people
who work for us and let them know it on a regular basis.
 I want the people around me to have fun so I can laugh.
I’m Not Someone Who:
 Is ever bored.
 Can sit by and watch if there are business problems to be solved or improvements to be
made.
 Is unwilling to make the tough call or deliver the difficult message when necessary.
 Lies
 Can’t say “no”, although I work hard to say “yes” whenever possible.
 Is perfect. I appreciate all the people in my life who help me grow on a daily basis.
