Tear up the lettersyou’ve saved
From all the love leftastray
It’sfrom the white lies(white lies)
Whenyouwere knee high(knee high)
You followthe words
Could have a possible meaning; How in life
certain actions can affect loved ones and those
close to you
Facing the results of those actions that you have
done and not shying away from the end results.
Shots (possibly Dolly/tracking/mid shot) of
someone walking between trees in a forest
linking to this idea of a symbolic message.
Link to a form of physical punishment?
From the hurt caused from one’s action, time to
feel the painful effects of this.
An extreme close up of red paint running down
the side of one’s face to represent pain and tears
except when it would be edited it could be
reversed to match the lyrics
Could be describing leaving all the protagonists
problems all centred around where they could
call home to be free from all this pain.
Presenting all of the people hurt and affected.
Could here use a long take of a medium close up
of cut flowers floating down a river or a stream
dropped by the protagonist.

This could suggest that the words said between
people that has caused pain the person in
following blindly and leading them into a dark
sheltered place hidden away from the rest of
society.
Here the protagonist could follow a series of
signs aligned behind each other following these
lyrics. Could be an urban setting.
That there is some sort of restraint from holding
out and having a sense of closeness.
Could have an extreme close up match with a
long take, shot of the protagonist holding a
teddy bear for this closeness.
This could suggest that there is a fear of getting
and building a relationship with someone and
the protagonist describes how the person in
question runs before anything gets serious.
Wide shot of the protagonist walking away
slowly to present this. Beach setting.
To end the music video, a use of a close up
following the protagonist focusing on their
footprints that they are leaving in the sand
would be a seaside setting.
