posted on in the US or anywhere in the world. Based on my skills, I am confident that I would be
a great addition to your team. I am highly interested in these positions because I have a passion
for improving and making a great impact in the environmental field. Through my research, I
have learned that this is a rapidly expanding field and that your well-regarded company is a
leader in this area.
I’m a graduate from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Science in
Geography: Watershed Management Concentration. Throughout my time at Mansfield
University, I have strengthened my academic and professional skills in Watershed Management
by working in the field and in labs identifying different wetland locations. Specifically, I have
become familiar with using the LaMotte water quality kits, measuring stream discharge, and
collecting water samples; all required by this position. I also have experience in ArcGIS
Desktop, chemistry lab procedures, soil test kits and basic knowledge in interpreting maps and
air photos.
I have previously done an externship with the Chesapeake Bay at Tioga County Conservation
District in Wellsboro, PA; as well as, volunteered for the Think Stem Program in Ulster, PA over
the spring and summer. Both of these opportunities have given me experience working in the
field and also helped teach kids how to use scientific field methods in watershed geography. My
previous work experience is working as a school therapeutic staff support with mental health and
behavioral disabilities students who are suffering and needed adults support, customer service
and communication skills, but my passion lies with environmental protection and sustainability.
My international background enables me to adapt to new places and network with diverse groups
around the world. I am committed to any task I am assigned and able to work well under
pressure. I also work well both independently and as a member of a team. I possess excellent
problem solving skills.
