Barbara Posavac completed a successful internship at TU Dresden from July to August 2015 under the supervision of Gunar Steinborn. During her internship, she calculated bearing and windage losses and heat transfer coefficients for an induction motor using Matlab. She also analyzed motor vibrations using Ansys Workbench and wrote a concluding report. Steinborn praised Barbara for being a dedicated, self-reliant worker who quickly learned new skills and applied them well in completing her tasks. He wished her the best in completing her studies and future career.

To Whom It May Concern:
Barbara Posavac is a very dedicated and friendly young woman. She has attended an
internship at TU Dresden, Department of Electrical Machines and Drives between
July 1st and August 31st 2015 with me as her academic supervisor. The internship
was carried out in the context of an international exchange program which was
organized by IAESTE (International Association for the Exchange of Students for
Technical Experience).
During her internship, Barbara calculated bearing and windage losses for a given
induction motor as well as the air gap heat transfer coefficient. For this task, she
familiarized herself with Matlab and created multiple tools for calculation and plotting
of values from scratch. She also did a simple analysis of vibrations in the motor using
Ansys Workbench. The internship was concluded by a short report written in Word.
Barbara is a very dependable and self-reliant worker. She proved very good at
acquiring new knowledge and putting it to immediate practical use. She finished her
tasks quickly, thoroughly and with very good results. Her relationship with other
students and the university staff has always been excellent.
I want to thank Barbara for her work. Concerning the finishing of her studies and her
work later on I wish her all the best.
