Who am I?
• Bala Nair
• Some dude who believes in redefining the
social experience for the Airline industry
Chapter 1 – The problem
Social failure!!!!
• Too much noise
• Total fans in Facebook can sometimes range over 300K fans
• Not targeted
• Concentrating more on sales and not after sales communication
Chapter 2 – The solution
A single integrated solution that bridges the gap
between airlines and passengers
communication
COMMUNICATION IS THE DRIVER
journey = social network
So with the above formula we can conclude the below
pax + journey = social experience
A simple unified interface
• By grouping the passengers by flight, we reduce the noise that exists
in the current social networks
• Airlines would be able to interact with passengers in a targeted
manner
• Airlines would be able to perform better analytics and understand
passengers’ behaviors
Chapter 3 – The next evolution
• Mobile versions of Cekinq by end Jan 2012
• API for third party applications
• Integrating with inflight system for a personalized experience for the
Cekinq users (e.g. welcome screen, suggested contents for inflight
entertainment based on their profile)
Chapter 4 – Conclusion

With Cekinq, passengers are able to communicate with
other passengers in their flight as soon as they
purchase their tickets
• SITA will be able to deliver a unique social platform to their clients that
is integrated with their current airline product offerings
• Will be the pioneer in delivering an integrated social offering in the
Airline industry
