2. INTRODUCTION
As defined by World Green Building
Council
Green Building is “a building that, in its
design, construction
or operation, reduces or eliminates
negative impacts, and can create positive
impacts, on our climate, health
and natural environment.”2
They are resource efcient, produce less
emissions and they save money over the
building lifecycle.
3. Target group :
Engineering and interior design students:
The aim of targeting university students: to educate and
educate students for their cooperation and joining in order to
show their creativity in the field of sustainable environmental
work in a high-level professional manner that enables them to
gain practical experience in the field of sustainability and
qualify them for post-graduation and engagement in the labor
market.
4. Research Problem:
• One of the main challenges of sustainable
architecture is the cost. Building sustainably often
requires the use of more expensive materials and
technologies, such as solar panels, energy-efficient
windows, and rainwater harvesting systems
5. HISTORICAL
• In the early 20th century, the famous architect Frank Lloyd
Wright was already preaching about working with nature,
instead of against it. He firmly believed a building should rise
out of a natural area, instead of bulldoze and dominate its
surroundings.
• In the seventies of the last century, the idea of green
architecture emerged as an intellectual orientation, coinciding
with the green political movements in European and American
governments.
• In the eighties of the last century, new trends emerged in
architectural thought that tend to achieve harmony between
the building and its environment, through the use of natural
materials instead of manufactured materials, and the
reduction of fuel use in order to reduce pollution, which is
termed as sustainable architecture or green architecture.
11. • Other features that green buildings
demonstrate include the use of
locally/regionally produced material
• as it touches on the social aspect with
regards to local/regional job creation as
well as the minimization of
• emissions related to transportation.
