Find me on:
BCR, a leading independent Australian freight
forwarder and third party logistics provider (3PL)
today announced the promotion of Bob Vavich to
Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Mr. Vavich joined
BCR in early 2014 as Head of Sales, bringing over
25 years of commercial freight forwarder and
logistics experience, including leadership roles at
Kuehne + Nagel, Panalpina and more recently DB
Schenker. In his new capacity as CCO, Mr. Vavich
will be accountable for BCR’s sales, account
management, procurement and marketing
functions.
Mr. Vavich has extensive experience in building and managing customer focused sales and account
management teams globally, having worked in the USA, Germany, Italy, Australia and the Philippines. He is
a Certified Supply Chain Professional and holds a MBA from the University Of Hamburg and a Master’s in
Supply Chain from the University of Illinois.
“We are extremely pleased to have Bob join us as Chief Commercial Officer,” said David Katte, Chief
Executive Officer of BCR. “He has wide-ranging knowledge of our industry and the freight forwarder and
logistics market in Australia and has spent much of his career significantly growing and developing the
business he has worked in. The appointment of another supply chain veteran with extensive contract
logistics expertise signals BCR’s continued expansion from global freight forwarding and customs
brokerage, into domestic and offshore warehousing and distribution. His unique perspective and expertise
in developing customer focused solutions will enhance our leadership and commercial teams.”

expertise out to customers through our sales and account management teams so we can continuously
improve and increase the services we deliver to them,” states Mr. Vavich.
