1. Purpose of the MOOC Seminar Report
The purpose of the MOOC Seminar is for students to share aspects of their understanding on
a subject besides his/her regular subjects as it develops their interest in academics which is
related to his/her field of study. As such, it serves to encourage students to synthesize the
evidence they have gathered thus far, thereby helping them to marshal their materials into
manageable form as their leaning proceeds. Further, students will receive feedback from
others interested in their area of study, assisting them in considering aspects they might not
otherwise have addressed. The MOOC seminar also serves as a training space for preparation
and presentation aspects of professional learning.
When to prepare the MOOC Seminar report
Seminar is an integral part of academic learning in each semester which needs to be prepared
at the end of the semester examination.
Preparing to Report
The class coordinator will decide a schedule date for preparation of the MOOC seminar
report.
Guidelines for MOOC seminar report
• It is assumed that the student will submit successive drafts of the MOOC seminar
report to the class coordinator, who will ensure that progress is consistent during the
semester of the study. In any event, the student will submit to the class coordinator a
full draft of the report of the MOOC Seminar no later than two weeks before the
closing of the current semester.
• The written document should be around 10 -15 pages long, appropriately formatted
and referenced.
• The evaluation of MOOC seminar report should be in the last week of the semester.
