2. FADE IN:
INT. HOUSE - DAY
There’s a TV inside a room that suddenly turns on with a
static signal on the screen. The room is medium size and
is comfortable. The TV is speaking but the words are cut
up like the signal is breaking you hear this off screen.
JEV 18 comes from the kitchen of the room and sits down
at his sofa to watch his TV.
JEV
Why is my TV on already? Getting
started without me?
The TV turns from being static on the screen to a warp
transition and flickers the static signal on again.
JEV
Huh? Whats going on here?
Some person with long hair covering their face and
wearing a long white dress appears on the TV getting
behind the tree setting up.
JEV moves his position on the sofa and gets comfortable.
The TV turns on fully and shows the tree with a grassy
ground and theres nothing happening but the TV will have
a black and white filter over the top of the footage on
the TV.
JEV
Whats happening is the TV broke?
Ugh! This is annoying.
The camera shows a close up of the TV and the TV is
showing the static image of a tree and the grassy ground
thats in black and white.
A woman with the long white dress and long hair covering
their eyes is peeking from behind the tree to scare JEV.
JEV questions what is happening with the TV.
JEV
The TV finally has life! Thank God
it’s not broken.
The woman walks towards the TV screen with her long hair
over her head she walks further towards the TV as if they
are about to come out of the TV screen.

3. 2.
JEV
What show is this? The Walking
Dead?
The woman walking towards the screen falls over on the
footage and JEV starts to laugh the TV suddenly turns off
without any control.
JEV
(Laughing)
Oh my God was that meant to be
scary because it was so funny.
JEV laughs even more and stands up and goes towards the
kitchen to get some water still laughing away at what
just happened on the TV screen. JEV drinks some water and
suspects the TV to turn back on after what just happened
but question is was the TV really off?
JEV sits back down and checks his TV, it shows that the
TV is on but the TV isn’t showing anything on the screen.
He tried turning the TV off and on but it wasn’t working.
THE CAMERA CLOSE UP OF THE TV, THE TV GETS STUCK ON A
FRAME OF A PROGRAMME THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY ON THE SCREEN.
The batteries out of the TV remote had fallen on the
floor without JEV knowing.
THE CAMERA SHOWS A CLOSE UP OF THE BATTERIES ON THE
FLOOR.
JEV’S phone starts to ring.
THE CAMERA DOES A CLOSE UP ON THE PHONE RINGING IN A FEW
DIFFERENT ANGLES TILTED SLIGHTLY EACH TIME.
Each camera angle moves closer to the phone and tilts
slightly.
As it does that the strings from Psycho starts to play
from the shower scene.
JEV doesn’t expect a call because people normally remind
him when they are going to ring when they do call him.
JEV picks up the phone and asks.
JEV
(On the phone)
Who is this? Hello? JOHN?

4. 3.
JOHN is JEV’S best friend and goes out a lot with JEV
they are like two peas in a pod but have only knew each
other for one year.
MYSTERIOUS PERSON
(Over the phone)
Hello what’s your favourite scary
movie?
JEV
(On the phone)
Oh my favourite scary movie is… oh
wait never mind it’s gone out of
my head, don’t you have something
better to do?
MYSTERIOUS PERSON
(Over the phone)
Nope ain’t you going to ask me the
same question too? on what my
favourite scary movie is or not?
JEV
(On the phone)
No! First of all I don’t even know
you second of all I’ve just
watched a really weird video on my
TV.
MYSTERIOUS PERSON
(Over the phone)
Oh yeah the one where the person
with the long hair comes out of
the TV?
JEV is curious at this point because of the video being
about the person with a long white dress and long hair
coming close to the TV but not out.
JEV
(On the phone)
Tell me who this is now else I’ll
call the police!
The MYSTERIOUS PERSON over the phone sits on the call
quietly with no sound coming from JEV’S phone what so
ever so JEV impatiently huffs.
The call hangs up after JEV huffs.
JEV
What was that person’s problem?
The phone rings again.

5. 4.
JEV
I swear this better not be the
same person as just a few seconds
ago.
JEV picks up the phone and says…
JEV
(On the phone)
I swear if this is the same person
from earlier…
JEVS words get cut out because the person over the phone
interrupts him while he is saying a line.
GUY OF THE ADVERT ON THE TV
(Over the phone)
(Whispering)
Seven days…
The person on the phone starts coughing loudly. The call
ends.
JEV
Huh? Okay thats enough I’m calling
the police!
The TV turns back on JEV jumps because he got scared and
there’s an advert that appears that says…
GUY OF THE ADVERT ON THE TV
Seven days until the new Scary
Movie 6 gets a trailer on TV.
JEV sees this on TV and feels like his got pressure off
his chest by just knowing that the whole phone call was a
joke and it was all for advertisement marketing for the
new Scary Movie film, well at least some of it.
JEV
(Happy)
I’m so glad it was all just a
prank and there won’t be anything
bad happening now, I knew that was
odd.
JEV turns off the TV and heads off to some other room and
falls over.
FADE OUT.

6. 5.
JEV
(Laughing)
The screen will fade out using a transition and the
laughing will begin off screen for a few seconds, the
mini movie will cut to credits at the end of the credits
you hear the phone ringing again to show suspicion.
