8. The Underwater Sculpture Park in St. George’s was conceptualized with the aim to help preserve the coral
reefs. Jason deCaires Taylor, the creator of the underwater sculptures located off the west coast of Grenada, has
noted that the sculptures serve as artificial reefs.

9. Grand Etang, which is said to be a bottomless lake because nobody has been able to find its
bottom with SONAR. The lake was formed over a dormant volcano, and it has become a popular
tourist attraction. There is also a tale that it is home to the legendary Loch Ness monster and that
beautiful mermaids have been spotted swimming in it.

12. Nutmeg is the only tropical fruit that is the source of two different spices, obtained from different
parts of the plant. Nutmeg is the seed of the tree, while mace is the dried “lacy” reddish covering
or aril of the seed. The trees reach full production twenty years after planting . Grenada producing
and exporting the largest percentage of the world’s supply of nutmeg.

cocoa in the world. Grenada’s House of
Chocolates is the place where you can taste
different types of cocoa.
Guava jam is made from delicious, sun-
ripened Grenada guava fruits. This
delightful jam can be used on toast, in
pastries and desserts.

from local spices (and sugar cane of course!): the
extremely potent River Antoine Rum and Westerhall
Rum. The former is not always available due to its
popularity.

Indonesia, and Grenada is one of the islands.
