BAMP PROJECT TO OPEN NEW MUSIC VENUE IN KAKA’AKO
Four years after opening The Republik, BAMP Project has decided to open a larger
music venue in Kaka’ako.
HONOLULU, HI –After The Republik opened in 2012 it has hosted over 300 sold-out
BAMP Project shows. BAMP Project’s continued success with The Republik prompted
Flash Hansen, CEO, to search for a bigger and better venue to take the company to the
next level.
“The most common complaint about The Republik is that it’s small—only about 1,000
people can occupy it at once,” said Flash Hansen. “Because of the increasing popularity
of our shows, it’s been harder and harder for people to get tickets. After hearing such a
little complaint so many times, it made me realize that it was time for us to expand.”
When asked why he chose Kaka’ako, Hansen had this to say: “Kaka’ako is not only a
diverse place full of art, but also an up-and-coming area we want to be a part of.”
BAMP Project’s website brags that the new venue will be more than double the size of
The Republik and have a larger bar and lounge section. Although the exact address of
the venue has yet to be confirmed, the company plans to open as soon as Feb. 2017.
“The new venue is going to open so many doors and provide opportunities we wouldn’t
have had before,” said Hansen.
